On April 26, the SCCK will hold a Special Guest Speaker Session with the Director of the Institute of Korean Studies (IKS), Dr. Chaibong Hahm will share his insights into the modern Korean identity, how it differs from the “traditional” Korean identity, and how the “modern Korean” continues to evolve. (한국사람 만들기).

SPEAKER PROFILE Dr. Chaibong Hahm Dr. Hahm earned his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in 1992 and, since then, served as a political science professor at Yonsei University and later at the University of Southern California. Before heading to the Institute of Korean Studies (IKS) in 2021, he was the president of Asan Institute for Policy Studies for 10 years.
